The 2022 Hyundai Tucson comes with a 2.5 litter four-cylinder engine that makes 187 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive are standard; all-wheel drive is available.

This engine isn’t the sweetest-sounding factory around — muffled grumbling fills the otherwise quiet interior — but it does get the Tucson off the line relatively quickly and haul the SUV around town with enough vigour. Transmission delivers smooth and mostly timely gears Variety.

Accelerating to highway speeds takes some patience, but once there, the Tucson cruises confidently and offers plenty of passing power.

The rear seats are equally spacious and comfortable. They can accommodate two adults or three children with wiggle room. Outward visibility in the front and sides of the Tucson is good, but bolstered, rear visibility is a bit low due to the thicker roof pillars.
